Maureen Denise McCormick was born on the 5th of August 1956 in Woodland Hills California the youngest and only child of Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick. Her father taught school and her mom was a domestic worker. Michael Dennis Kevin, her twin brothers. McCormick began dancing and singing from a young age, and frequently performed plays with puppets for children in her area. When she won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was 6 an old Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see whether McCormick was interested in getting into the world of entertainment. McCormick's first big job was in 1964, which was when she appeared in a television commercial featuring Mattels new doll Baby Pattaburp. She subsequently starred as Chatty Cathy in a commercial and was then cast for The Wind It up and It's Broken in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick auditioned for the role of the youngest daughter of the towheaded trio in The Brady Bunch. The show starred Florence Henderson, Robert Reed and a new blended family. The show ran for five years. McCormick wrote in her book Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady And Finding My True Voice Published In 2008 McCormick disclosed that during the fifth season of the show, she was close to losing her virginity with her brother Barry Williams. The actress was just 16 years old and the actor was aged 19 at the moment. It could have been, she says. The timing for our relationship was not right.
